All Nighter

The other day I had this crazy idea when I saw this commercial on the TV. They where giving a back to back marathon of one of my favorite movies. All three films where going to play ad-free throughout the entire night. So I went up to my cousin and asked if we could bunk at his house to watch it, since he was a major fan as well.
So there we sat at 10 pm, on an airbed in the middle of a cramped room filled with seven people and a shy cat with popcorn, candy and chips flying everywhere as we began to watch the Lord Of The Rings triology.
All I remeber was the movie ending at 8 am and finally falling over, my head hitting the pillow for a few minutes before I had to go to work.

With the exeption of the slightley fuzzy thinking and black circles under my eyes it was SO worth it!!

Change

People have been telling me for months that I needed to cut my hair. The truth is I know I needed it. It was really damaged with tons of split ends. But then again my hair is naturally and stubbornly curly. So after alot of scolding my mom finally convinced me to go to the salon. However I gave my mom an ultimatum. If I went to the salon I'd cut it but I'd also straighten my hair. She grudgidly agreed because she loves my curly hair yet I always loved straight hair. Thing is I never tried it before and didn't know how I would look...

Turns out... I look sexy

Brave

Need I say more?

Ice Skating

"Keep your knees slightly bended..."
"And try to lean forward..."
"Not so much!!"
"Keep you feet slightly apart..."
"And a little pointed outward to give you a boost."
"Give one soft push and let it glide..."
"See...push, push, glide..."
"Don't worry if you fall..."
"And whatever you do skate, DON'T WALK!!"

Easy for them to say whan they're bombarding me with so many rules!!

New York

Although I've been living in the states for more then a year I had yet to visit the Big Apple. The idea always scared me: the chaos of cars, the sea of people, the towering buildings... the idea was far from real. To me it was like a world in a world that I was glad of watching from afar.

The other day, however, my cousins kidnapped me and my sister on a roadtrip to NYC. They took us to times square where we saw a man propose to his girlfriend with Elmo from Sesame Street as a witness, went to the rockefeller where we acted like fools and watched the iceskaters, circled around ground zero and admired the future building that will be risen in its place alongside the memorial ground. We had dinner on Mars 2112 and gazed at the statue of liberty from afar. As I was walking around surrounded by the cold night breeze, police sirens, taxi's honks, bycicle bells, fast food greases, hotdog steams, people shouting...I felt like a legal Alien. XD
