Optical Illusion

I was walking home, groceries in hand while my sister chatted lively beside me. As my eyes scan the horizon I spotted the familiar river that flowed through my town. The trees far away and the water glittering gently in the afternoon sun. How long it had been since I'd seen that river...Wait! What?! I glanced around, the resturant signs taunting me, their english words blazing in all colors. I gazed back at the river. There wasn't supposed to be river here! This was the typical urban american town! My mind flashed through memories of what was meant to be there: a supermarket parking lot. Yet the water still shimmered under the warm sun, the trees small specks on the other coast. I tapped my sister, my eyes still locked with the magical sight.
"Hey, since when do we have a river here?" Through the corner of my eyes I saw her gaze at me sceptically. Was it only me who saw it?
"What are you talking about?"
"Right there! Right ahead! Don't you see the coast line and the water? Right in front of you!" Squinting really hard she tilted her head until her eyes widened.
"No way! It looks just like the river back home!"
"What the hell is going on?" I ran further ahead untill I caught sight of the huge metalic truck head, the cargo trailer giving the ilusion of water while the large trees from the parking lot stood poking timidly from behind.
"And there goes the river..." My sister added ironicly as the truck took off down the concrete street.

That was the best natural optical illusion I've ever seen!
